So,
how can I help?
The operating
expenses of the Kumary House and the other orphanages are
modest, but unrelenting. There are the daily expenses of
the food for three meals a day, consisting of fruits, breads,
vegetables and occasionally meat. The children's school
clothing must be purchased and maintained. Personal hygiene
supplies of soap and shampoo, and medicines take more of
the budget. Teachers need to be paid and school supplies
purchased.
In addition,
all the necessities of running a business are required:
transportation, gas, office supplies, paper, photocopies,
postage, raw materials for the incense.
And then,
there is the rent on the orphanages... |
Through
the generosity of your incense purchases, Essence of the
Ages has been able to help change lives in Nepal.
Our financial
support, through the sale of Tdhf incenses and raw incense
ingredients is allowing women to get an education,
helping them to
learn to
read...
and
fill
out
job applications.
Children have a chance to escape the poverty of their parents
by getting an education, where before their parents could
not afford to send them to school. |

working for Tdhf, women are being paid a fair wage for the
work, and are slowly getting on their feet. Unemployed artisans
are again able to sell their talents, and the elderly have
an opportunity to teach their life experiences. |

How can
you help? By either giving a one time donation, or by donating
monthly to The Direct Help Foundation.
Donating
money to organizations overseas is difficult. You just
can't send them a check, or give them your credit card
number. To send money, a bank transfer wire has to be sent,
you have to know the receiving bank, the routing number,
the account number.... argh!

There are no service charges added to any contribution. Any shipping
charges added through the shopping cart will be deleted before
the credit card is billed.
For monthly
donations, donation will be taken via credit card on the date
of purchase and then on the first of each following month.
Donations may
be stopped at any time. Donations made are not refundable.
All contributors will be acknowledged on a Contributors
page.
