Dzogchen Monastery Incense

Dzogchen Monastery in Nepal

Dzogchen Monastery is one of the six great monasteries of the Nyingma tradition, the original Buddhist tradition in Tibet. It is also the main monastery for over three hundred branch monasteries in the Kham, Amdo and Central regions of Tibet. Since the early eighties the monastery has been undergoing reconstruction and it is currently home to around two hundred and fifty monks. Numerous teachings, empowerment and prayer festivals are held throughout the year, as well as the annual lama dance of King Gesar.

Dzogchen Monastery was founded during the seventeenth century in Derge, Kham, Eastern Tibet, and has been the home of many great masters, such as the Dzogchen Patrul Rinpoche. The institution of Dzogchen has kept alive the unbroken lineage of Padmasambhava for centuries through intensive instruction in study and meditation practice.

Dzogchen, even though it has hundreds of years of history, has just started making incense in 2009. We are pleased to be the first importers of this fabulous incense. Your purchase of this incense helps provide a source of income for the Monastery and the Monks schooling and teaching.

DZOGCHEN MONASTERY - LOTUS GROUND INCENSE: This high quality, rich and fragrant incense contains 17 key ingredients, which include saffron, musk, red sandalwood, white sandalwood, titepati, ganden grass, jattamasi, sunpati, aggur, kushum flower, surchandan, and saldhoop. This incense is particularly good for easing any worry or anxiety and bringing a happy and contented state of mind. Box contains 2 rolls of 40, 11.50" incense sticks. Single rolls are also available.
