AKANISHTA: A
very fine quality sandalwood incense made with cypress
and sandalwood from India and Nepal. Cypress is very
grounding and sandalwood is excellent for meditation.

ABHISHEK: In
addition to a blend of juniper, rhododendron and
sage, similar to LAWUDO, this also contains frankincense
(gugul), a resin produced in India, which is often
burnt during Buddhist tantric initiations. Also used
in Reiki practice. It is the sweetest-smelling incense
in the range, but is far from sickly sweet! Just
as with LAWUDO, its principal medicinal effects are
as a relaxant, and it is used as an adjunct in Tibetan
Medicine to relieve stress and anxiety. It is also
considered to be a constitutional fortifier. |

ALPINE: It
contains juniper and other non-tonic plants from
the Himalayan Mountains in Nepal, spices such as
cloves from India, and spruce and pine extracts and
powdered amber from Latvia. It has a powerful fresh
forest aroma. It's effect is uplifting and invigorating.

GANDEN: This
is made principally from a sage-like herb gathered
near the Ganden Monastery, 30Km outside Lhasa, Tibet.
It has a slightly bitter aroma with a hint of mint.
Its medicinal properties are described by the Physician
to H.H. the Dalai Lama as being an effective remedy
for colds and flu and to purify polluted atmosphere.
Effective for freshening homes and offices and eliminating
domestic smells, cigarette smoke etc. This herb is
burnt by Tibetans both indoors and out for ritual

LAWADO: Lawudo
incense is based on a mixture of various high-altitude
plants that grow at Solu Khumbu, near Mt. Everest,
Nepal and processed at the nearby Lawudo Gompa (Monastery).
Added to this are various other aromatic and medicinal
plants and natural binding agents. Its aroma is peaty,
the principal scents being Rhododendron (a subtle
heart stimulant) and Juniper. Its principal medicinal
effects are as a relaxant, and it is used as an adjunct
in Tibetan Medicine to relieve stress and anxiety.
It is also considered to be a constitutional fortifier. |

LHASA: In
the Tradition of the Classic Incense from Tibet.
Based on the formula of the finest quality Traditional
Tibetan incense, it contains white and red sandalwoods,
spikenard, cardamom, cloves, myrrh and arjuna. Used
extensively in virtually all Tibetan Pujas and Tantric
rituals, and for making offerings. Relaxing. Assists

MEDICINE
BUDDHA: This is a traditional Tibetan
medical recipe containing 31 ingredients, and produced
under the supervision of Dr. Wangchug in Kathmandu,
Nepal. It is used as an antidote to “lung” (Tib.),
stress and anxiety, or depression. It also helps
overcome insomnia and nervous exhaustion. The sticks
can also be crushed and mixed with massage oil
as a balm, with the intention of obtaining the
same medicinal effects. The ingredients have been
purified according to medical requirements and can even be eaten as a medicine. |

SAUNA: (renamed Vajrapani) This
incense is specially designed for burning in saunas,
but great for freshening home, office or temple.
It contains the same ingredients as ALPINE, with
the addition of eucalyptus oil, which has strong
germicidal and disinfectant properties. It also helps
to relieve coughs and fevers. Eucalyptus oil is an
effect analgesic and is often used in preparations
designed to relieve muscle, nerve and joint pains.
On a psychological level, it helps to combat exhaustion
and dispels mental sluggishness. SAUNA is the strongest-smelling
incense in the range. |

GIFT
BOX: Tibetan Medicinal Incense. These
beautiful incense sticks are hand-made using
a traditional Tibetan extrusion process, and
slowly dried avoiding direct sunlight. All ingredients
are organically grown, chemical-free, entirely
